About Damen Shipyards

Damen stands for fellowship, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and stewardship. A family company; we are committed to securing tomorrow for the next generation, caring for our oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. Through our comprehensive portfolio of maritime services, we enable humanity to responsibly harness the opportunities our waters present. In the previous century, we introduced standardized shipbuilding in series. Facing the future, we aim to combine our heritage with innovation to become the world’s most sustainable shipbuilder.

Damen was established by two brothers in the Netherlands, back in 1927. As of right now, Damen operates 35 shipyards and 20 other companies in 20 countries. We offer direct employment to more than 12,500 colleagues, bringing together a total production value of 3 billion euros!

Today, with Arnout Damen as CEO, the third generation is at the helm and we are looking forwards. We, and our planet, face unprecedented challenges. To that end, Damen has set itself a new goal. We aim to become the most sustainable maritime solutions provider in the world. Young Damen

At Damen we believe that work should be fun. We place great emphasis on creating an enjoyable atmosphere where colleagues can get to know one another in a relaxed setting. Next to all kind of corporate events, this is why we have established Young Damen. A fun social platform for Damen employees up to the age of 35. With Young Damen, colleagues can connect and interact, enjoying one another’s company both in- and outside of the work environment.
